Open Fly Day – First Event

In the past day 31st of March, the Club did the first open day event of the current year. The goal is to open the doors to anyone that wants to learn more about FPV racing and about the type of events that the club will be doing throughout the year.

Promoting this type of event in Ireland with any current MACI pilot, independent of its club, welcome to joins us on the day for some free flying or to give a go at our race track.

The weather helped with a beautiful and sunny morning.

People started gathering and new members were excited to see a lot of custom-built drones flying fast. Usual questions were asked. How far? How high? How much? 🙂

The day was run on an open format, with pilots doing rounds to fly in the track or doing some free flying in the club grounds.

We are very happy with the outcome. It is always good to see more people showing interest in the RC hobby in general and drone racing in particular.

EAST Coast FPV would like to thank you all for the presence and we do hope to see you all again. If you did not have the opportunity to attend this time we’ll be doing a few more of these events during the year. So feel free to drop by just to say hi or to joins us in some flying.

Safe flights!
